Special Programs

It is the vision of Family Builders to be recognized by our clients as the County’s best provider of first class, private placement and therapeutic case management services for foster children. Our goals include providing safe, secure and stable foster homes as well as ensuring that the individual needs are met for each child placed with Family Builders. Family Builders offers four different programs to provide professional support in helping foster parents.

WRAP- Wrap Around Program Services

Wrap around services wrap around the entire family dynamic for children in mental health care services or on probation. Family Builders Wrap Around Workers help children stabilize behaviors in their biological homes and/or foster homes.

ITFC – Intensive Treatment Foster Care

Services provided to children who are identified as severely emotionally disturbed as a stable alternative to congregate care. Family Builders has a very diverse and experienced administrative, direct care, and foster parenting that is committed to providing services as identified in each child’s Treatment Plan to promote that child’s stability in a family setting.

TBS – Therapeutic Behavioral Services

An intensive one-to-one, short-term outpatient treatment intervention for beneficiaries under age 21 with serious emotional problems or mental illness who are experiencing a stressful transition or life crisis and need additional short-term specific support services.

AB 12 - California Fostering Connections to Success Act

Improves the well-being and outcomes for children in the foster care system including changes related to the extension of federal funding for foster care services for non-minors from ages 18-21 if they meet certain participation criteria.

  • Social Workers available 24-hours a day, seven days a week

  • Advocacy to meet children’s needs
  • Assistance in preparing children for emancipation from care
